The 16" Wild Rose shade has a wide floral border set below an interesting geometric upper background. The small flowers are rendered with intricate piecework, and give a mosaic quality to the decorative band. The shade is shown on the Ribbed w/Arms base, which compliments the shade nicely.

17" Bat
Earlier this year, we were commissioned to create a 17" Bat shade by an out of state client. Our client requested that the colors be more "Dark Knight" than "Halloween", so we plunged into our library of glass, concentrated on blues and purples, and found some amazing pieces to bring the shade alive. The shade is shown on the wonderfully detailed Mushroom base.
The Bat shade features three bats flying against a starry cloudless sky. The wings of the bats overlap, and the bodies are accentuated by cast bronze overlays. This is an unusual shade design, and only four original Tiffany Studios examples have surfaced over the years, a number Century Studios exceeded a while ago.

Lamp of the Week: 28" Swirling Dragonfly
The 28" Swirling Dragonfly is a Tiffany pattern with lots of pizazz! The flying insects fly busily around the shade in a swirl of color and jewels. Created in 1996, this shade is made almost entirely out of Lins glass with pressed glass jewels by Century Studios. The shade is in a local collection.

18" Oak Leaf
Commissioned by a client in New York, this 18" Oak Leaf shade gives a sense of classicism. Generously proportioned at 18" across, the pattern is equal parts geometric and organic designs. The oak leaves and acorns are arranged in formal vignettes around the shade, swirling into one another. The symmetry of the design gives this shade a relaxed, rather than frenetic feeling.
The shade is shown on the Budding Urn pottery base, which adds to the overall classic look of the lamp.

Lamp of the Week: 22" Bamboo on Bamboo Jr. Floor Base
Bamboo shades feature long graceful leaves which are kiln slumped to match the curve of the shade. The Bamboo Jr. Floor base is created at our studio. We also make a taller, Senior version of this base. We created the shade in 1990 for our showroom and it is now in the collection of a local client.

Grape Window & 20" Windswept Daffodil
We were commissioned by a local client to create a Grape window. The window was positioned higher up on an interior wall between two rooms, so we kept the glass light and semi-transparent to allow light to flow from one room to the other. A variety of textured and mottled glasses were used in the leaves to provide fullness. The lush grapes in purples, blues and hints of reds are fully ripe and ready for picking.
We often work on two or even three projects at the same time. While Bill was busy choosing the glass for the window project, Irwin was completing a 20" Windswept Daffodil shade for a New Jersey client. Pictured on the Twisted Vine base, the shade has warm yellow and green tones with accents of orange.

Lamp of the Week: 16" Woodbine
The 16" Woodbine shade is a Tiffany Studios' shade design which is a cross between a floral and geometric. The design lends itself to a wide variety of color schemes and is a pattern designed to show off the glass. The shade is shown on the distinctive Flower Petal base.

14" Geranium
This colorful 14" Geranium shade was commissioned by a local client. She was looking for a bright, cheerful lamp to use on a bedside table. Bill selected a variety of glasses including rippled, streaky, and ring mottled pieces. There is an undercurrent of red tones throughout the leaves and in the background. The shade is shown on the Penguin Foot base.
