Lamp Hardware

Tiffany Studios created a variety of parts and hardware to add the finishing touch to their lamps. At Century Studios, we have been diligently working to expand our range of reproduction lamp hardware so that we now offer a wide range of caps and lamp parts. Intricately detailed, our caps are made of spun or cast brass and are finished with a verdigris patina. For the enthusiast who prefers to do their own patina, we offer a number of our spun caps in raw brass. We have additional items such as hanging caps for chandeliers that are not pictured.

For the Tiffany lamp maker, we also create a range of reproduction lamp parts that includes rings, wheels, etched brass filigree, and cast bronze parts.

All parts shown are manufactured by Century Studios. For pricing on our lamp hardware and parts, email us at: info@centurystudios.com

Lamp of the Week: 14" Crocus

The 14" Crocus is an unusual Tiffany Studios lamp design featuring naturalistic flowers in a stylized composition. The pattern has four repeats, which gives the composition a traditional look. Commissioned by a client in Massachusetts in 2016, the shade has pink and purple flowers against a lightly toned, airy background. The shade is shown on the Swamp Flower base (17" tall).

12 Light Lily Table Lamp

This recently completed 12 Light Lily table lamp was commissioned by a client in England. At Century Studios we create lily lamps in a variety of sizes and styles. The lily pad base from which the stems ascend is cast in bronze using molds taken from an original Tiffany Studios example. Each stem supports a hand made, mouth blown gold lily shade.

Lamp of the Week: 10" Acorn Double Student Lamp

This pair of 10" Acorn shades was created for a Chicago area client in 2007 for use with their antique Double Student lamp base. Tiffany Studios sold these oil lamp bases, which were manufactured by The Manhattan Brass Company, with blown glass or stained glass shades. Many of the bases found on the antiques market today have been retrofitted for electricity. For the two acorn shades, we chose a deep amber toned glass with lighter acorns accenting the decorative border row.

Turtleback Hanging Lantern

We recently completed this Turtleback Hanging Lantern w/Swirls fixture for a client in Texas. The heavy bronze casting  is 8" square and 13" tall (to the top of the loop). For this lantern, we used orange/amber turtleback tiles, but the lantern can be made with green, amber, or red tiles.

We offer our Turtleback Lanterns in two styles. The top of the lantern can be open or made with bronze swirls. Either style can be created as a table lamp or as a hanging fixture.

Lamp of the Week: 14" Dragonly

The 14" Dragonfly shade is one of our most popular lamp patterns. This compact shade showcases six filigreed dragonflies, pressed glass jewels, and can be created in any coloration. For this piece, the shade begins at the top with a grassy green that quickly blends into cobalt blue. The green dragonflies have textured purple wings tinged with blue. The shade was commissioned by a local client in 2017 and is shown on the square Chinese base (16" tall).

22" Trumpet Vine

We have completed the 22" Trumpet Vine shade. Commissioned by a client in Maryland, the shade is mated with the sinuous Twisted Vine base (26" tall to the top of the shade) and is finished with the distinctive Pigtail Cap.

Generously proportioned, the turban shaped shade is alive with trumpet creepers in full bloom tumbling and intertwining across its surface. The mottled, streaky, and rippled flowers are alive with orange, yellow, and hints of red. Lush green leaves intermingle with the distinctively shaped flowers against a sky that begins as a vivid blue at the top and mixes with lighter blues and greens on the lower two thirds of the shade.

Tiffany Studios designed shades and bases to be interchangeable and this shade is equally at home on the Bamboo base as it is on the Twisted Vine.

Lamp of the Week: 20" Waterlily

In the dead of winter nothing warms up a room on a cold evening like a stained glass lamp. The 20" Waterlily evokes hot summer days when lily pads and flowers gently float on the surface of a pond. The rippled water glass for this shade was chosen from a unique piece of drapery glass that was made in the late 80's/early 90's. Cobalt blue, green, and azure blue are deftly mixed together with glass fractures added on the reverse. Against this striking backdrop, a variety of lush pink, amber, peach and white flowers and buds nestle amongst large lily pads in mixed tones of green. The purple rippled border rows add an element of surprise to the shade.

The Twisted Vine w/Arms & Ring base (lamp height 27") emulates the plant's stems reaching from the bottom of the pond to the floating flowers and pads above. This lamp was created in 2019 as a showroom piece and is now in a private collection.
