Lamp of the Week: 28" Daffodil

This 28" Daffodil shade was created in 2010 for a client in the Chicago area. Unlike this year, the spring of 2010 was an exceptionally early one and the daffodils were already blooming when the shade was delivered in early May. The shade is covered in flowers reaching skyward on slender stems swaying gently in a light breeze. An overall golden tone gives the shade a warm, welcoming personality.

Lamp of the Week: 12" Geometric Turban

Small geometric shades can add a splash of color and interest to any interior. The patchwork quilt colors of this 12" Geometric Turban shade were created using a single piece of multicolored glass. The shade is shown on the Chinese base (16" tall). This lamp was created for a local client in 2017.

Bonus Lamp of the Week: 28" Lily

The 28" Lily shade is a Century Studios original shade design which was conceived by Bill Campbell. To bring this highly detailed pattern to life, every type of art glass was employed, including streaky, ring mottle, rippled, fibroid, drapery, and fracture/streamer. The glasses were painstakingly chosen and the colors blended to create an impressionistic view of a garden of Easter Lilies in full bloom. This stunning shade was commissioned in 2016 by a client in Illinois and is in their private collection.

Lamp of the Week: 20" Daffodil

One of Tiffany Studio's more popular floral shade designs is the 20" Daffodil. This is one of the few shade patterns where the flowers are inverted, rather than "growing" from the bottom of the shade. Having the flowers are clustered at the lower edge of the shade, the 20" Daffodil makes a wonderful chandelier fixture.

Commissioned by a client in Massachusetts in 2019, this colorful 20" Daffodil shade has flowers that range from light buttery yellow to rich amber. The mixed greens of the long leaves are echoed in the border rows. For the background pieces, a sparkling cerulean blue mixed with yellow imparts a lively touch to the shade. The shade is shown on the Grooved base (26" tall).

18" Peony

The 18" Peony shade is one of the most popular reproduction Tiffany Studios lamp designs we offer. Like the plant that inspired this pattern, the turban shaped shade is covered in large, showy blooms. Our clients requested a bold approach for the glass choices for this shade. The pink and red flowers intermingle with green leaves and horizontal border rows against a cerulean blue sky. The overall personality of the shade is joyous and lush.

Commissioned by a client in Missouri, the shade is shown on the sculptural Mock Turtle base (21.5" tall).

12" Turtleback

At Century Studios, we create turtleback shades in many shapes and sizes. For these shades, we hand cut and facet the individual turtleback tiles which make up the decorative band. Commissioned by a client in California, this 12" Turtleback shade has a wide band of emerald green turtlebacks set into a two tone green background. The shade is shown on the Mushroom base (16" tall).
