Lamp of the Week: 18" Nasturtium
Nasturtium flowers come in a wide variety of colors, making this trailing plant a welcome addition to any garden. Bursting with energy and showcasing glass from every major glass maker of the past 30 years, this 18" Nasturtium shade was carefully blended to change color depending on which side of the shade is viewed. Shown on the Small Stick base (20" tall), this lamp was created as a showroom piece in 2016 and is now in a private collection.
The flowers shift from lush reds to juicy oranges, then into sunny yellows and back to red. The leaves and background follow each change in the flowers, enhancing the color flow across the shade. Mottled, streaky, rippled, and fracture/streamer glass all joined together to create a whirlwind of delight. This style of coloration takes infinite patience and attention to detail so the blended shifts in color are natural and do not feel forced.

Lamp of the Week:16" Dragonfly
Dragonfly shades are instantly recognizable as the iconic Tiffany Studios lamp design. Tiffany made dragonfly shades in many sizes, and the pattern lends itself to infinite color possibilities. Commissioned by a local client in 2013, this 16" Dragonfly shade was created in variations of deep jewel tones of blues and greens.
The Dragonfly Mosaic Urn base was designed by Tiffany Studios as a companion to the shade. The base has dragonflies and water plants cast in bronze with shimmering glass mosaic tiles making up the background.

Lamp of the Week: 28" Laburnum
The 28" Laburnum is one of the largest Tiffany shades we create. With over 2000 individual pieces of glass, it is also one of the most time consuming shades to produce. The Laburnum has an irregular lower edge, lending an air of naturalism to the piece. Richly mottled yellow and gold tones are skillfully combined with lively greens against a light blue sky. This lush shade was commissioned in 2003 by a Midwest client for use as a floor lamp. The 28" Laburnum also makes a stunning chandelier fixture.

Lamp of the Week: 22" Tulip
The 22" Tulip is an intricate shade pattern packed so full of blooms that the upper portion of the lamp is solid flowers. Deep pinks tinged with red lighten to pastel pink mixed with white, yellow, and green. The two light green horizontal bands encircling the shade hold the riotous plants in check. This example, shown on the Turtleback base (29.5" tall), was commissioned in 2003 and is in a private collection.

Lamp of the Week: 24" Parasol
At Century Studios, we create reproductions of Tiffany geometric shades in a multitude of shapes and sizes. One of the largest geometric shades we offer is the 24" Parasol. The simplicity of the design is accentuated by the flat metal rim which underlines the shade. At 29" in height, the Mandarin Lotus base creates a tall, elegant lamp where the shade appears to float above the table top. This lamp was created in a warm butterscotch tone and was made as a showroom piece in 2012. It is now in a private collection in Maine.
