Three Light Lily Lamps

This past weekend at the Arts & Crafts Show we introduced two new lamps to our line of reproduction Tiffany Studios Lily Lamps. Tiffany Studios offered a wide range of lily lamps, from table lamps to floor lamps and chandeliers.

3 Light Lily Table Lamps are accent lights which were made in a variety of styles and sizes. We are pleased to introduce two of the more popular table lamps to our line. The first (shown above) has a classic profile with an elegant balance.

The second (shown below) has an organic twist to the stems, lending a touch of whimsy to the piece.

Century Studios will be closed Friday September 28 and Saturday September 29. We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday October 2

Arts & Crafts Show

Our booth is set up and the lamps are in place! Come visit us at the Arts & Crafts Show in the Progress Center at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Show hours are Saturday 9 - 5 and Sunday 11 - 4. There are 50 dealers with antique, reproduction and new decorative arts and furniture. This is one of the best Arts & Crafts-centric shows in the country. Hope to see you this weekend!

Peacock Window & Show

We are working on new pieces for our booth at the upcoming Arts & Crafts Show. One of the works nearing completion is a Peacock Window.
Taking our inspiration from a Tiffany Studios stained glass window, our version is scaled to hang in a home window. Here is a sneak peek at the window in progress! In the photo above, the bird is just getting laid out. To the left, the window is cut, fit, foiled and ready to be soldered together.

Magnolia Windows

This suite of Magnolia Windows was created for a St. Paul, MN client. The windows feature magnolia trees at the peak of the Spring flowering season. Drapery glass was used for most the flower petals. This three dimensional glass is hand folded while it is still hot and creates a realistic look for the blooms.

Mark your calendars for the 13th Annual 2012 Arts & Crafts Show and Sale. This annual event takes place September 22 & 23 in the Progress Center Building on the Minnesota State Fair Grounds. The show features furniture, metalwork, pottery, textiles, art and lighting, as well as an extensive selection of reference materials on the period from 50 dealers of antique, reproduction and new items. Turtleback Hanging Lantern

This Turtleback Hanging Lantern with Swirls was commissioned by a client in California. The lantern has emerald green turtleback tiles and a door on the bottom to let light shine below. The heavy bronze casting is created at our studio using the lost wax casting method using molds taken off a Tiffany Studios original. The completed lantern has a distinctive, period look.

Upon receiving the completed lantern, the client wrote (in part), "The lantern is here and is truly excellent...Nice patina."

Century Studios Will Be Closed

Century Studios will be closed Thursday August 16 through Monday August 20. We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday August 21.

New Floor Base & Windswept Daffodil

We have received many requests for a floor base that will work with smaller shades. In response to these suggestions, we have created a Petite Floor Base which will work with 16", 18" and 20" shades. By using a combination of reproduction and modern parts, we have created a hybrid floor base that is attractive and cost effective.

The Petite Floor base starts with a cast bronze Tiffany Studios reproduction base plate. This casting provides weight and a period look to the floor base. The center portion of the base uses modern parts for the stem. The top of the base is a three light cluster which is once again reproduction Tiffany. This allows for the standard riser, cap and wheel configuration used on Tiffany lamps. The base stands 54" tall.

Shown on the new base is a 20" Windswept Daffodil shade which we completed and is now available in our showroom. in the photo below, the shade is shown on a Kendrick Pottery base.
