Lamp of the Week: 18" Tulip

With their seemingly endless array of colors and showy blooms, tulips are frequently found on Tiffany shade designs. This 18" Tulip shade has a variety of peach, pink, and yellow flowers set against warm greens and rich browns. Shown on the sculptural Mock Turtle base, this lamp was created as a showroom piece in 2007 and is now in a private, local collection.

12" Zodiac

The 12" Zodiac is a Century Studios original shade design that we introduced last fall. The shade has a Celtic motif of intertwining border rows that divide the shade into quadrants, each of which has a large round turtleback tile. The surface of the shade is also studded with three dimensional glass jewels.

Textured glass features prominently in this example. A heavily rippled orange/amber glass was chosen for the main border rows. Secondary border rows in a light green surround insets of heavily rippled yellow glass. The combination of textures and jewels results in a shade that is difficult not to want to touch and run your hands over when seen in person. Shown on the elegant Torpedo base, this lamp is now in a private local collection.

Lamp of the Week: 36" Pond Lily

The 36" Pond Lily Chandelier is the largest reproduction Tiffany Studios lamp we create. With its generous size and strong horizontal lines, this shade transports the viewer to the edge of a quiet pond in summer. Water lilies in varying shades of white, pink, and yellow dot the sparkling blue surface of this unusually shaped shade. The water glass is a mix of mottled, streaky and gently rippled glasses. Tiffany Studios designed this lamp to be a large chandelier fixture. This shade was created as a showroom piece in 2016 and is now in a private collection.

16" Geranium Pair

We began the new year by completing a matching pair of 16" Geranium shades for a client in California. Scarlet flower clusters hover above densely mottled leaves in various tones of green tinged with red, amber, and blue. The background glass is a semi-transparent fracture/streamer glass. The shade is shown on the Flower Petal base.

Lamp of the Week: 16" Dogwood

This 16" Dogwood shade has a clear blue sky that is created from an unusual fracture/streamer glass with a hammered texture. The flowers and leaves are a combination of ring mottled, streaky, and fracture/streamer glasses. The flower petals are tinged with yellow, green, and pink, while the leaves have touches of amber and teal. The purple ripple border gives the shade an additional touch of color. Shown on the Greek Urn base, this lamp was made as a studio example in 2017 and is now in a private collection.

Chain Mail Lantern

This Chain Mail Lantern is the first of several we are making for a home in California. Tiffany Studios used chain mail for many different pendant fixtures and lamps, lending ethereal floating quality to the pieces. The fixture is made with a pale green glass, and chain mail can be made in any color.

Lamp of the Week: 16" Snowball Pair

This pair of 16" Snowball shades was commissioned in 2015 by a client in Michigan. Snowball shades invite creative glass choices and the varieties selected include ring mottled, streaky, and rippled glass. Beginning at the top with a medium blue/purple sky, the rich brown branches descend into foliage that is a lively mix of green, off white, and amber. Hints of blue and pink are mixed throughout to give depth to the color scheme. The pair of shades have been installed as a chandelier fixtures.
